Closed. The SFJATC is not currently accepting applications and has no scheduled date for the next application period; dates are posted on its website when set. There are three separate applications — Helmets to Hardhats, 4000 Hours, and Regular. Online only; mailed or hand-delivered applications are not accepted. An honorably discharged veteran applying within five years of their DD-214 discharge date qualifies for a direct oral interview.

This JATC uses the electrical training ALLIANCE aptitude test battery: 33 algebra and functions questions in 46 minutes, then 36 reading comprehension questions in 51 minutes, 97 minutes of testing in total.

Testing frequency
When you apply, if you have all the required documents and your application is accepted, you will be given a date and instructions on when and where to appear for your test. Special accommodations must be requested as soon as you receive your initial correspondence.
Score threshold
If you pass the test, you will be invited back for an interview. No numeric cut score is published by this JATC.
Retake wait
