Application window

Applications are accepted online only during the designated application periods, and may close early if the maximum number of applications is reached — the window remains open until 2,000 applications are received. Veterans meeting the stated service criteria have the algebra requirement waived.

Testing frequency

Once your completed Personal Experience Form is received, staff schedule a time for you to come to the facility at 6023 S. Garfield Avenue, City of Commerce, and take the aptitude test. All applicants must take the aptitude test regardless of the program selected.

Score threshold

You are given 2 hours and 20 minutes for a test covering five topics: mathematical reasoning, numerical reasoning, reading comprehension, mechanical reasoning, and paper folding. The Personal Experience Form constitutes up to 40% of your final score. No minimum score is published.

Retake wait

You may re-apply as long as the current application period is open. If the application window has closed, you will have to wait until the next quarter.
