Local 68 uses the GAN Aptitude Test Battery, not the two-section electrical training ALLIANCE test, so preparing only for algebra and reading will leave you short. GAN publishes no item counts or per-subtest timings.

What score does Local 68 require?

After you have taken the aptitude test, and if you receive a ranking sufficient to meet selection requirements, a background check will be conducted. No minimum score is published. Only sixteen of the 43 locals we have checked publish a minimum score at all.

Applications are closed and will reopen on February 1st, 2027. $35.00 to apply, a non-refundable fee paid when you start the online application. You have two weeks from receiving the GAN email to complete your Personal Experience Form, or the application is disqualified and you must pay another fee and apply again.
