Aptitude battery: GAN

This JATC uses the GAN Aptitude Test Battery, a different test: reading, numerical computation, numerical reasoning, paper folding, problem solving and mechanical comprehension. It is not the two-section electrical training ALLIANCE test, and preparing only for algebra and reading will leave you short.

Application window: Apply through the TradeSchool portal from metiwi.com. Account requests are reviewed within 2–5 business days and completed applications processed in a further 2–5 business days. You must choose one program: Milwaukee Inside OR Kettle Moraine Inside. There is no upfront tuition; some programs may have minimal fees for books or tools.
Testing frequency: You are automatically scheduled for the next available test date and notified by email about a month beforehand. Testing typically takes place between January and March for Summer selection. Selection calls happen between April and August.
Score threshold: Not published by this JATC. GAN returns a final ranked list and the Board calls from the top scored applicant down — there is no 1–9 band and no published cut score.
Retake wait: Not published by this JATC. If you are not selected you are notified by email and given steps on how to reapply.
