This JATC changed its process in October 2026: all applicants must now apply online through TradeSchool, and applications submitted before October 1, 2026 are processed under the previous system. Once invited you have 14 days to complete the Personal Experience Form; if you miss that window your application is closed and you are not eligible to take the aptitude test. The JATC no longer publishes an application fee, payment methods or a completion deadline — confirm those with the training center.

Aptitude battery: GAN
This JATC uses the GAN Aptitude Test Battery, a different test: reading, numerical computation, numerical reasoning, paper folding, problem solving and mechanical comprehension. It is not the two-section electrical training ALLIANCE test, and preparing only for algebra and reading will leave you short.

- Testing frequency
- Classes start up to five times per year. The JATC does not publish the aptitude test venue, how test dates are sent, or a missed-test rule.
- Score threshold
- The aptitude test has no minimum score to move forward. However, only top candidates will receive an interview.
- Retake wait
- If you are not accepted, you must reapply by submitting a new application and completing the Personal Experience Form. The JATC no longer publishes whether a new application fee is required.
