This JATC uses the electrical training ALLIANCE aptitude test battery: 33 algebra and functions questions in 46 minutes, then 36 reading comprehension questions in 51 minutes, 97 minutes of testing in total.

Application window
The JATC accepts applications online, 24/7. The processing fee of $30 is paid online when the application is submitted. The Committee will interview only those who complete the application process within 60 days and receive a qualifying score on the aptitude test.
Testing frequency
Testing is arranged by the CEJATC. If you have taken the test for any other IBEW/NECA program within the last six months, notify this program — the score will be obtained and applied to your application.
Score threshold
Have a qualifying score of '4' on the electrical trade's aptitude test developed and validated by the American Institutes for Research.
Retake wait
This test can only be taken once within a six-month period for all IBEW/NECA related programs.
