This JATC uses the electrical training ALLIANCE aptitude test battery: 33 algebra and functions questions in 46 minutes, then 36 reading comprehension questions in 51 minutes, 97 minutes of testing in total.
- Application window
- Applications are normally only taken every two years. A $35.00 non-refundable application fee applies (cash, check or money order).
- Testing frequency
- Approximately one week after you take the test battery, the local JATC will receive the results. Do not bring a calculator; if you bring a watch with a built-in calculator you will be asked to remove it during the test session.
- Score threshold
- A qualifying score of 4 on the test battery schedules you for an oral interview. Your name is then placed on an eligibility list for two (2) years.
- Retake wait
- A full six (6) months must elapse before you may retake the test. The six month rule remains in effect after each subsequent retake of the test.
