Application window

Deadline of 3/31/26 to open a GAN application for consideration in the 2026 selection cycle; applications opened after that date are considered for the 2027 cycle. All current applicants must complete the GAN application process to remain eligible, at no additional cost. Once started, applicants have two weeks to complete the PEF — after two weeks the form closes, is scored by GAN, and cannot be reopened.

Testing frequency

The JATC continues to manage aptitude test scheduling. All applicants must complete an in-person GAN aptitude test, which assesses aptitudes in Numerical Computation, Reading, Mechanical Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning, and Paper Folding. Test date and time are sent to the applicant's email on file.

Score threshold

Minimum score requirements for the aptitude test and personal interview have been eliminated. All applicants who complete the GAN application process will be ranked and eligible for possible selection. Scores from prior aptitude tests and interviews will not transfer into the GAN scoring system.

Retake wait

The pre-GAN process specified a 180-day wait after a non-passing test. Under the 2026 GAN process minimum scores have been eliminated — confirm the current rule with the training center.
