Local 48 — Portland, OR at a glance

Aptitude battery: eTA

This JATC uses the electrical training ALLIANCE aptitude test battery: 33 algebra and functions questions in 46 minutes, then 36 reading comprehension questions in 51 minutes, 97 minutes of testing in total.

Application window
The aptitude test is administered to applicants for the Inside Electrician and the Limited Energy Technician apprenticeship programs.
Testing frequency
An independent facility scores the tests; the training center receives results two to four weeks after your test. A qualifying score schedules an oral interview approximately one month after the aptitude test.
Score threshold
A qualifying score is 5 or higher. A pass within the last 2 years with a score of 5 or higher does not need to be retaken.
Retake wait
You can re-test 3 months after your previous test date. If you do not get a qualifying score you must wait three months before re-applying and re-testing.
