Application window

Applications are accepted online. All applications require a $20.00 fee, credited to accepted apprentices who complete Math Refresher and register for 1st Year, 1st Semester. Applicants are interviewed and accepted into the program year-round, with job placement and on-the-job training beginning as soon as accepted.

Testing frequency

The aptitude test is scheduled after the application is completed, not on the same day. It takes approximately two to three hours to complete. The test is made up of two parts: Algebra and Functions, and Reading Comprehension.

Score threshold

To qualify for an interview, you must score a 5 or higher on the NJATC Aptitude Test.

Retake wait

You are not permitted to reschedule your Aptitude Test. If you cannot make it to the Aptitude Test you will be required to reapply.
