Aptitude battery: eTA

This JATC uses the electrical training ALLIANCE aptitude test battery: 33 algebra and functions questions in 46 minutes, then 36 reading comprehension questions in 51 minutes, 97 minutes of testing in total.

Application window
All applications must currently be completed in person at the Central Florida JATC. A $20 application fee, cash only, is required before taking the exam. Bring a driver's license or picture ID, Social Security card, birth certificate or passport, high school diploma or GED certificate and scores, and official sealed high school transcripts showing one full credit of Algebra. Proof of military experience (DD-214) is listed as additional information.
Testing frequency
Applicants are only tested once a month, in order of completed application dates. The aptitude exam evaluates candidates on their math skills and reading comprehension.
Score threshold
A score of Pass or Fail is provided the day after the exam. No numeric cut score is published by this JATC.
Retake wait
Anyone absent for the exam must wait 6 months before being rescheduled.
