NJATC Aptitude Test (2026)

Same test, different name. Here's what's actually different.

The "NJATC aptitude test" and the "IBEW aptitude test" are the same thing. The National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (NJATC) was rebranded as the electrical training ALLIANCE in 2014. The test is still designed and administered by them in partnership with IBEW locals.

What that means for you

  • Same 96-minute, two-section format.
  • Same 1–9 scoring band.
  • Same minimum band 4 to interview.
  • Old NJATC study materials still apply, with one caveat: question pools are refreshed periodically.

What to study

Algebra and functions, reading comprehension. That's it. The "NJATC" branding doesn't change the content. See our complete IBEW aptitude test guide for the full breakdown.

FAQ
